The seriesfeatures Josh Gates, host of the Discovery Channel's Expedition Unknown, searching for the original DeLorean from Back to the Future. Gates wants to donate the DeLorean to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which Fox founded in 2000 to combat Parkinson's disease. To help with his quest, he enlists the help of Christopher Lloyd -- who played Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy. However, they soon learn that there was more than one DeLorean made for the film trilogy, which takes them on a road trip across America. Putting a spin on one of Doc Brown's catchphrases, Lloyd admits, "We definitely need roads."
