Zo werd Beatrix gekroond wat gepaard ging met de beruchte krakersrellen, de DISCO kwam in een stroomversnelling en Miami Vice was de hit-serie, de thriller 'De Lift' van Dik Maas was een regelrechte kaskraker . Maar ook de opkomst van de schoudervullingen, beenwarmers, permanentjes en bubblegumpop, stickers tegen zure regen en de neutronenbom, buttons, moonboots ……….
Deze 5 dvd's nemen je mee op reis door de jaren tachtig met uniek materiaal en opvallende tv-opnames die zijn aangekocht uit de archieven van diverse omroepen, met als voice-over Marcel de Groot. We zien o.a. de moord op John Lennon, 1983 de intoductie van de cd, de ontvoering van Alfred Heineken, Scarface met Al Pacino, The A-Team, voor het eerst weer een Elfstedentocht in 1985, USA For Africa, het Heizel Stadion drama, de moord op John Lennon, Live Aid, Wubbo Ockels in de ruimte maar ook onvergetelijke sportmomenten zoals het Nederlands elftal wordt Europees kampioen in 88 en Gerard Nijboer wint de marathon in Athene. Unieke clips van o.a. Hall & Oates, John Parr, Pet Shop Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Los Lobos, The Pasadenas, Paul Simon, Kayak, Michel Sardou, George Benson, Madness, Doe Maar, Dr.Hook, Ray Parker Jr., Stevie Wonder.
