Post Description
Nashville, TN — Texas country mainstay Kevin Fowler just announced his 9th studio album BARSTOOL STORIES along with a slew of tour dates. Slated for an August 23rd release, the new album features 11 tracks, including his two most recent singles “Beach Please” and “Country Song To Sing.” Fowler will soon release a third single from the album called “Better With a Beer” (written by Fowler, David Lee Murphy, and Brandon Kinney).
Fowler co-wrote 6 of the tunes and once again turned to producer Trent Willmon to help bring the album to life. Willmon previously produced Fowler’s 2016 album COMING TO A HONKYTONK NEAR YOU. The pair have also collaborated as songwriters in the past.
BARSTOOL STORIES features plenty of great co-writes and collaborations, including “A Drinkin’ Song,” which counts country superstar Chris Stapleton as a co-writer and borrows the talents of Roger Creager and Cody Johnson.
“It turned out amazing!” Fowler says of the star-studded tune. “This record is very well-rounded, with plenty of good ol’ Fowler fun songs and a few more heartfelt, serious ones. I love this record and I’m sure our fans will too. “
