Suicidal Tendencies Albums
Collection 1983-2018

Suicidal Tendencies is een Amerikaanse hardcore punk-
band , opgericht in 1980 in Venetië , Californië door zanger 
Mike Muir , die het enige overgebleven originele lid van de 
band is. Samen met DRI , Corrosion of Conformity en Storm-
troopers of Death worden ze vaak genoemd als een van de 
"vaders van crossover thrash ".  Hun huidige line-up bestaat 
uit Muir, gitaristen Dean Pleasants en Ben Weinman , bas-
sist Ra Díaz en drummer Dave Lombardo. Bekende muzikan-
ten die hebben bijgedragen aan de studio of live-activiteiten 
van de band zijn gitaristen Rocky George en Mike Clark, bas-
sisten Louiche Mayorga , Robert Trujillo , Josh Paul en 
Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner en drummers Amery Smith , 
Jimmy DeGrasso , Brooks Wackerman , David Hidalgo Jr . , 
Thomas Pridgen en sessiemuzikant Josh Freese . Suicidal 
Tendencies heeft dertien studioalbums uitgebracht (waar-
van er vier zijn samengesteld uit opnieuw opgenomen of 
eerder uitgebracht materiaal), twee EP's , vier gesplitste al-
bums, vier compilatiealbums en twee lange video's. De band 
behaalde hun eerste succes met hun titelloze debuutalbum 
uit 1983 ; het bracht de single " Institutionalized " voort, wat 
een van de eerste hardcore punkvideo 's was die veel airplay 
op MTV ontving .
