Many believe that the founders of the so-called space rock are Hawkwind with their self-titled album, released in August 1970, but to be completely scrupulous, such a statement is not entirely true. In the same England and at the same time, i.e. in 1970, 2 more albums of performers were recorded, which may well claim to be the first in the history of progressive rock bands playing in the space style. These are UFO and Clear Blue Sky. Despite a certain number of released records, Clear Blue Sky can be safely called a "one-album band", because their debut is still considered a classic of English guitar psychedelia...
