Little Feat is an American rock band that was formed in 1969 in Los Angeles, California, and 
performed eclectic blues rock with elements of country rock, southern rock, rhythm and blues, 
and soul music. The high technical skill of the musicians (according to Allmusic) successfully 
fit into the general format of classic rock of the 1970s, but the group created extremely 
unorthodox music and, largely thanks to the original musical ideas of the leader Lowell George 
(formerly a member of Mothers of Invention), acquired a cult status and respect for music critics. 
Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin in a 1975 interview with Rolling Stone magazine called Little Feat his 
favorite American ensemble.
After the death of Lowell George in 1979, the group broke up, and reunited in 1987, failed to 
restore its former authority - although, it toured each time with unchanged success. Eleven Little Feat 
albums were on the Billboard 200.
