Post Description
Showcasing three unique cities from around the world, national treasure Joanna Lumley will be jetting off in her new show Joanna Lumley's Great Cities of the World on ITV.
Meeting with locals and people of note, the television personality will be dropping by on world famous locations to find out what really makes them tick. Calling the show "exciting", Joanna said it will also act as a secret look into other places in the world for those who have never been.
She said: "For people who've never been it will be an exciting introduction to these cities and for people who have, it will be a lovely opening of a secret cupboard door. We'll be looking into different and unseen parts."
Episode one will see the 75 year old flying off to Paris where she explores the city's famous cathedral, Notre-Dame, which has been closed to the public ever since it was ravaged by a terrible fire in 2019. She also takes a look inside world famous club, Moulin Rouge, before joining a street protest and meeting with refugee bee-keepers.
The next episode airing a week later takes place in Rome, visiting The Colosseum, The Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Berlin acts as the series finale and will see the television personality meet 100 year old holocaust survivor, Margot Friedländer. Joanna also joins an all woman motorbike club as she travels across the city with them.
Joanna Lumley's Great Cities of the World will air 17 March. The following two episodes will both air the following weeks with the finale falling on 31 March.
