Post Description
I write songs in Nashville...most of my recordings are meant to be pitched to today's radio stars. But every now and then, I need to record something just for me, just because I want to hear the wail of a steel guitar, or the plaintive cry of a fiddle or the distinctive crunch of and old Telecaster guitar to an outlaw back beat.
These are songs I recorded because I love Country Music...the kind that told real stories of loss, heartache, failure and roller derby girls. This CD, "The Last Honky Tonk In Town" is a collection of songs I've written in the past 10 years that don't fit today's idea of what the "kids want to hear on the radio".
Living in Nashville, I have the opportunity to record with some of the finest, top shelf, studio musicians, engineers and producers in the business. I'm humbled and awe struck every time I hear these amazing pickers breathe life to my songs. If you miss hearing that "Traditional Country" sound on your radio, then I hope you give this a listen...C'mon in, the whiskey's fine!
