De String-A-Longs waren een Amerikaanse instrumentale groep uit Plainview, Texas, Verenigde Staten, bekend om hun hitsingle "Wheels", geproduceerd door Norman Petty op Warwick Records. De band bestond uit Richard Stephens en Jimmy Torres afwisselend leadgitaren, Keith McCormack op slaggitaar, Aubrey de Cordova, basgitaar en Don Allen, drums. Ze begonnen met opnemen in Amarillo, Texas, als de Rock'n Rollers, onder hun eerste manager Johnny Voss, de oom van Keith McCormack. Hun eerste single was op het Ven-label. In de late jaren vijftig begonnen ze met opnemen in Clovis, New Mexico, onder Norman Petty als "The Leen Teens", maar Petty stelde de naam "String-A-Longs" voor. Ze hadden verschillende releases voordat ze hun grote hit "Wheels" opnamen.
