Bruno Mars en Anderson .Paak maakten in maart bekend samen te gaan werken onder de naam Silk Sonic. Het zaadje hiervoor werd gepland toen ze samen door Europa tourden tijdens Bruno's 24K Magic World Tour. Silk Sonic werd tijdens de BET Awards 2021 met het nummer 'Leave The Door Open' uitgeroepen tot beste groep. Het is tevens hun eerste single die op nummer 1 heeft gestaan in de Billboard Hot 100. Daarnaast speelden ze het nummer live tijdens de uitreiking van de Grammy Awards.
