Barbara Ruth Dickson (Dunfermline, 27 september 1947) is een Britse zangeres, muzikante en actrice.

Dicksons zangcarrière begon in 1964 in folkclubs. Haar eerste commerciële opname ontstond in 1968, haar eerste solo-album Do Right Woman verscheen in 1970. Ze was een bekend gezicht in de Britse folkscene van de late jaren 60 en vroege jaren 70. Vanaf 1976 was Dickson ook in de Britse popcharts te vinden. Ze bevestigde zich met haar indrukwekkende stem als pop- en balladevertolkster. Met Answer Me, gecomponeerd door Gerhard Winkler en reeds in 1953 een nummer 1-hit in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, kwam ze in 1976 op de 9e plaats van de hitparade, haar eerste van twee top 10-hits. In hetzelfde jaar nam ze de originele versie van het uit de musical Evita bekende lied Another Suitcase in Another Hall op. Haar wel bekendste solohit January February (1980) was ook internationaal succesvol. Samen met Elaine Paige zong ze bovendien I Know Him So Well, uit de musical Chess. In 1985 bezette het lied de toppositie van de UK-charts en is tot vandaag de dag (volgens het Guinness Book of Records) het meestverkochte vrouwelijke duet. Zeer succesvol was Dickson ook in de albumcharts, waar ze van 1977 tot in de jaren 90 een dozijn albums plaatsen kon, waaronder drie in de top 10. Verder zong ze in meerdere musicals. Met Blood Brothers had ze ook als actrice succes. In de jaren 90 was ze vooral als actrice bezig.

Barbara Dickson is getrouwd en heeft drie zoons. In 2002 kreeg ze de titel Officer of the British Empire.
