Amsterdam crime lord Andre de Rue stars at a family wedding. His youngest grandson, Boris van Walraven, has been expelled from school for bringing along his father's pistol, taken from the glove compartment. Thus his mother, André's daughter Carmen, discovers her husband Frans, whom she thought to be safely in legal business, fears for his life after a shooting among drug dealers, also involving uncle Irwan. They agree to leave the country forever.
