Bruce Springsteen reflects on his enduring career in an interview largely recorded in his New Jersey home.

Bruce Springsteen is an American singer songwriter and tonight an interesting interview from 1998 is being repeated for viewers on BBC Two. Amazingly, the singer has released over twenty albums and often has backing from his E street Band, which his wife is a part of.

Bruce Springsteen hasn’t only been successful in music but also in love. He has been married to his long time partner Patti Springsteen for over 30 years. His marriage is one of the longest to last in the US. Patti is part of the E Street Band who support Bruce on multiple albums and tours.

Patti hasn’t always been married to Bruce and when they met Bruce was soon to marry his girlfriend at the time, Julianne Phillips. This was back in 1984 and in 1985 Bruce married Julianne. The couple were together for four years, they then split in 1989 and Bruce found a new love with Patti.

Bruce and Patti moved in together in 1990. That same year, they welcomed their first child, Evan, before walking down the aisle in 1991. Later that year, the lovebirds welcomed their second child, daughter Jessica, followed by their youngest, Sam, in 1994.
