COMMENT:
An amazingly good audience recording of a fantastic Parade show. This show is nearly
(as of 2005) 20 years old, yet it puts some of today's audience recordings to shame - it's
surprisingly clear. The joy of having this show is doubled as it contains some unusual moments.
'Manic Monday' is played as opposed to 'I Wonder U' - although it takes place while Prince is changing
costumes and is sung by Wendy. There appear to be some crowd problems during the show which cause
Prince to talk to the crowd during the beginning of the show, however they flare up again during 'America',
so badly that he stops the band and tells the folks responsible ("Yeah, YOU!") that they will split if they
don't behave. The only slight problem (and it's a minor one) is the same problem which affected Sabotage's 'Our
Last Night In Europe' release - people at the show stepping on their plastic cups, which leads to some popping
and banging during the show. Minor, yet audible. That said though, this is still one of the best documents of
a European Parade show. An excellent release.
