In de documentaire wordt teruggeblikt op het ontstaan en de geschiedenis van de dancemuziek, één van de grootste muziekculturen in Nederland. 













ID&T-oprichters Duncan Stutterheim en Irfan van Ewijk en Mysteryland-initiatiefnemer Sander Groet blikken terug op de geboorte van Thunderdome. Het dance-event vond in 1992 voor het eerst plaats en groeide al snel uit tot het bekendste hardcore-evenement van Europa.

In the 1990s, Thunderdome initiated a total revolution in the nightlife and became the founder of the Netherlands largest cultural export product: dance music. 

Thunderdome returned in 2017 after five years of silence.
