The musical ingenuity of one of the most accomplished film score composers is equally comprehensive. We are, of course, talking about Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy winner Hans Zimmer. While some describe him as "the rock star of film music", others believe he has been the dream factory's most innovative symphonist for the last 20 years or more.

On the occasion of the presentation of the 10th Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award to this exceptional artist on behalf of the City of Vienna, his orchestral film compositions - some of them newly arranged by Hans Zimmer himself - are performed for the first time in a concert hall. They are brought to life musically by illustrious companions and fellow musicians, as well as by the impressive ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna.
