Post Description
Malevolent Creation was formed in Buffalo, New York before moving to the developing death metal scene in Florida. Roadrunner Records signed the band after the release of their second demo and released the band's first three albums. However, problems arose during the making of Stillborn: Roadrunner Records was not happy with the band's performance, and the band was unhappy with the label's lack of effort for supporting and promoting the band. After the release of Stillborn, Malevolent Creation was dropped from Roadrunner Records and signed to Pavement Music.
Eventually, problems arose between the band and Pavement Music as well, mainly Pavement Music putting out re-releases unauthorized by the band and the band not receiving any royalties, as well as releasing numerous compilations that weren't approved by the band.
Malevolent Creation has also had numerous line-up changes, most notably original members leaving the band but having rejoined several times. Phil Fasciana remains the only constant member since the birth of Malevolent Creation in 1987.
