Ondertussen mislukken de pogingen van haar zoon Harry, z'n vriendin en een vriend om het te maken in de drugsscene. Langzamerhand glijden de hoofdpersonages verder en verder weg in een neerwaartse spiraal van drugsgebruik, misdaad en prostitutie.
