Saxon is een Engelse heavy metal band, opgericht in 1975 in Barnsley . Als leiders van de nieuwe golf van Britse heavy metal (NWOBHM) hadden ze in de jaren tachtig acht UK Top 40- albums, waaronder vier UK Top 10-albums en twee Top 5-albums. Ze hadden talloze singles in de UK Singles Chart en hadden succes in heel Europa en Japan, evenals succes in de Verenigde Staten.
