Gary Puckett & The Union Gap was een Amerikaanse popband die actief was eind jaren 1960. De band werd geformeerd door Gary Puckett, Gary 'Mutha' Withem, Dwight Bement, Kerry Chater en Paul Wheatbread, die het uiteindelijk The Union Gap noemde en had zijn grootste hits met Woman, Woman, Young Girl, Lady Willpower, Over You, Don't Give In to Him en This Girl Is a Woman Now. De leden droegen kostuums die waren gebaseerd op de uniformen van de Union Army gedragen tijdens de Amerikaanse Burgeroorlog. Jerry Fuller bezorgde de band een platencontract bij Columbia Records. De band werd uiteindelijk ongelukkig met het uitvoeren van materiaal dat door anderen was geschreven en geproduceerd, waardoor ze stopten met werken met Fuller. De band ging uiteindelijk uit elkaar en Puckett ging zowel solowerk als samenwerkingen doen.

Puckett is getrouwd met Lorrie. Ze hebben twee dochters, Sydney en Michaela; ze verblijven momenteel in Clearwater.
