Zelf zegt hij over het album en over muziek schrijven in het algemeen:

“I write music for a lot of reasons, mostly it’s either therapeutic or I just love the adventure of knowing what you could write. This album is certainly that. It’s therapeutic, reflective and also in some ways describes a closing chapter, with new vs old ideas, sounds and some old stories.

My album, ‘Portraits Of Now And Then’ has been a success for me. It’s a years worth of writing and recording all from home. Navigating a way to be a musician and writing originals in a solo setting is really time consuming but I’m happy with how this project came to be”.
