My new record. This was one of the most special projects I’ve ever worked on. To put it simply, it’s a complete reimagining of the Astronaut record. But don’t think of this as some stripped down, repackaged piece. Because it’s not. This is a completely re-envisioned album, built from the ground up (including a couple brand new songs originally written for the project), and which stands completely on its own. This was a very intimate affair. 

The entire record was done by myself and my dear friend and longtime collaborator, Abby Gundersen. Abby, working from Seattle, and me in Illinois, would send recordings back and forth over several months until we had something beautiful. Her talents, voice, and heart are all over this thing, and I’m incredibly grateful and honored by it. The record is filled with pianos, strings, pads, guitars, and a shit-load of raw emotions. 

I couldn’t be more proud of this. If whatever it is that I do is meaningful to you, I think you’re going to dig this one. A lot. Love and gratitude to you.
