Het Franse house-en electroduo Daft Punk viert hun 25-jarig jubileum met een nieuwe editie van hun debuutalbum Homework. Daarop staan een aantal nieuwe remixes, onder andere van hun hits Around The World, Revolution 909, Burnin en Teachers. Het fysieke album is pas in april verkrijgbaar, meldt NME.

Op 22 februari om 22:22 uur Amerikaanse ‘west coast’ tijd is er een livestream gedaan van het Twitch Of The Mayan 97 concert, dat nooit eerder is uitgezonden. Dat concert werd op 17 december 1997 opgenomen in het Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles tijdens de eerste concerttour van het duo.

Precies een jaar geleden maakte Daft Punk bekend een einde te maken aan hun muzikale carrière. Wat de reden daarvoor was is nooit bekend geworden. Hoewel de namen van de bandleden wel openbaar zijn gemaakt, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, droeg het tweetal uit Parijs altijd helmen om hun gezichten anoniem te houden.
