The sheer endless expanses of Scotland and Ireland have shaped the people living there in a very special way for thousands of years. Often torn apart by wars and exploited by foreign powers, both countries have developed a unique culture of pride and joie de vivre, but also a very special hospitality. The Scots and Irish have preserved and lovingly cultivated their old myths and legends to this day. In both countries, people express themselves in a special way through music. Everywhere you go, you meet people who love to listen and have a lot to tell - and again and again, the music of the Emerald Isles.

With changing instrumentation, balanced, polyphonic singing and a lot of feeling for the language of this music TÍR SAOR brings a part of this passion for songs and stories to the stage.
