Scottish songwriter Rosie H Sullivan has shared her debut EP ‘123° East’ in full.

It’s the work of an effervescent talent, blending folk hues with a pop mindset. An artist who was born on the Isle of Lewis, she spent her teens on the mainland, and this transition forms a key part of the underlying themes on her EP.

As a result, it’s called ‘123° East’ – the coordinates from her birthplace, to the mainland town where she spent her adolescence. The sound of someone piecing together the jigsaw puzzle of their life, the EP marks a point of graduation for Rosie, closing one door and opening another.

She comments…

This collection of songs was born during a period of time when I was pouring all of my efforts into being creative and writing music. It was a time that essentially ended one chapter of my life and started the next; I was leaving the place I had grown up, and the familiarities which had comforted me for most of my life. Like many people, I struggle with change, and these feelings often fuel my writing. The songs feel a bit like a jigsaw puzzle that all fit together to form what is now 123° East.

I’m extremely proud of this EP and it feels incredible to finally put it out into the world. The entire recording process, particularly working with my producer Ross Hamilton, was incredible, and playing it live on tour was a dream come true.
