Post Description
Folk.
A collection of self-penned songs by singer-songwriter and Celtic Harpist Chloe Matharu from the West Coast of Scotland.
Inspiration for the songs was drawn from her experience as Navigational Officer in the Merchant Navy sailing around the world.
This album features the playing of Brian MacDonald from the MacDonald Brothers and was produced by him at Dramatic Studios in Ayr.
"As a Navigational Officer in the Merchant Navy, I've sailed around the world once or twice and have collected wads of songs I've written along the way. My songs aren't sea shanties or traditional salty tales of time at sea, but a modern seafarer's point of view. Inspired by the natural world and emotions stirred up spending months away watching the world from sea, these songs are my reflection on life."
“It’s a truly haunting combination perfectly suited to the reflective nature of her material.”
