Indigenous is een Amerikaanse bluesrockgroep die eind jaren negentig op de voorgrond trad. De band bestond oorspronkelijk uit twee broers, Mato Nanji (Maiari) ('mah-TOE non-GEE' zang en gitaar , geboren 1974), Pte ('peh-TAY' basgitaar ), samen met hun zus, Wanbdi ('wan -ba-DEE' drums , zang), en hun neef, Horse ( percussie ).

Hun muziek is beïnvloed door Stevie Ray Vaughan , Jimi Hendrix en Carlos Santana . Mato Nanji's stijl en vaardigheid hebben vergelijkingen getrokken met elk van deze gitaristen.
