Nu we toch door Spanje trekken. Een band uit Austurias.

Inspired by The Tannahill Weavers, Kornog and The Bothy Band, Llan de Cubel was formed in 1984 and has become, possibly, the most influential band in Asturian traditional music.

Today, 20 years after the release of their last album (Un Tiempu Meyor, 1999) they have finally released a new one, great news to Asturians and Asturian music fans everywhere.

I think this is a very special album, not only because it’s their first one in 20 years, but because Elías García -one of the founding members, who shaped the way Asturian music is today, and all around nice guy- passed away unexpectedly last September, after the album had already been recorded.
